A) Was IPL Season 2 a hit?
The matches were good. The semi final berths wide open till the end. A great final, and a brand new champion. Despite the odds IPL Season 2 delivered great sporting action and in the process became an international brand almost over night. But what did it deliver to the advertisers? B) The Incredible India branding:
On the show we have Amitabh Kant, Principal Secretary and Special Commissioner, Industries, for the state of Kerala. He released the book – “Branding India An Incredible Story” in Mumbai this week. It’s the inside view of how the Government of India led a path-breaking initiative to put India among the top destinations in global tourism. As joint secretary tourism between 2002 and 2007, Kant led the team that designed and commissioned the multi-media and multi-disciplinary `Incredible India’ branding exercise.

C) Will the ICC T20 World Cup live up to its own great expectations?
IPL Season 2 may not have given us a chance to test club loyalties, but the ICC T20 World Cup will give us lots of opportunities to flaunt national loyalty. With India defending the championship starting June 5th, we should see cricket the way it was before the IPL was invented! Interestingly the tournament will bring broadcaster ESPN Star Sports back to the cricket party after a log break. Pritha Dasgupta finds out if the fact that it’s starting so soon after the IPL, will hamper its prospects
