US economy showing signs of recovery: Barack Obama

US President Barack Obama speaking on the state of the economy said times are still tough. However, he added that for the first time there are glimmers of hope.
While Ben Bernanke, Chairman, US Federal Reserve, is of the view that there are tentative signs that the sharp declines in the economic activity maybe slowing. However, he added that credit markets are working poorly and the housing market is extremely depressed, well below normal activity, certainly, and the economy is in recession.
