See more infrastucture spend in Budget: Grasim

Sharing his perspective on the cement industry, DD Rathi of Grasim said the worst was over for the cement industry. However, he added there was a need for sustainability in the sector. He said that the volume offtake was healthy for the cement industry.
Rathi further said that the real effective excise duty was at over 14% and added that a cess, if imposed, should be temporary in nature.
With regard to the Budget, Rathi said more infrastructure spend was expected from the government in this Budget.
