Rahul Gandhi revamps Cabinet, youth the buzzword
Rahul Gandhi has refused a berth in the new Cabinet, but he is certainly having his say on who gets to be in. He is said to be revamping the Cabinet with a large dose of Youth Congress.
According to CNBC-TV18’s Susha Soman, Rahul has had a major say in the selection of new ministers. The buzzword now is youth and even old warhorses are jumping on to the bandwagon.

Veerappa Moily, Congress leader said, “I am young at heart.”
SM Krishna, Cabinet Minister said, ”I am sure youth will be given prominance. There has to be a judicious combination of experience and youth.”
For the first time, Rahul even attended a UPA meeting, called to thrash out the new Cabinet earlier this week. He is said to have insisted on young MPs like (split window) Sachin Pilot, Jyotiradiya Scindia, Jitin Prasada and Ashok Tanwar and this Rahul Sena will be the voice of the youth when it comes to running the country..
Sachin Pilot, Congress Leader said, “We must thank Rahul Gandhiji for enthusing the youth to be part of the political process.”
Ashok Tanwar, President, Indian Youth Congress said, “The youth Congress has shown that given a chance we can spin success stories.”
Rahul himself is not joining the Cabinet, a fact confirmed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, after his swearing in ceremony. But his stamp is bound remain in the way the government and the party functions.
