NMDC plans to invest Rs 26000cr in next 4 yrs

Rana Som, CMD, NMDC said the company had drawn an investment plan of about Rs 26,000 crore for the next four years and had about Rs 12,000 crore in its kitty. So, it would need money to fund its investment plan. But it had not decided yet how it will raise that money.
Speaking on divestment, he said, the company had no discussions with the steel ministry on divestment yet. “As on date about 1.46% of equity is held by private investors and balance 98.5% is still held by the Government of India. Going by that, our market capitalisation is of about Rs 1,20,000 crore.”
