Instanex FII Index Down 0.88%
FIIs seem to have increased their sales and Domestic institutional investors seem to have started selling as well. At 11am, the Instanex FII Index is down 0.88% and the Instanex DII 15 portfolio is down 0.34%, both are outperforming Nifty (-0.23%, compared to -0.12% at 10am). Sensex is down 0.63%, compared to 0.03% down at 10am. The other Instanex Ownership Indices are down – the Instanex Promoter 15 portfolio is down 0.10%, the Instanex Top 15 portfolio is down 0.45% and the Instanex Retail 15 portfolio is down 0.58%. Asian indices are also weaker with Straits Times down 0.93%, KOSPI is down 0.56% and Hang Seng is down 0.48%.
Of the 15 components of the Index, eight are down while seven are up. The main losers are Infosys Tech (-2.80%; weight 12.03%), HDFC (-2.31%; weight 12.82%) and TCS (-2.09%; weight 2.66%) while the main gainers are L&T (+1.61%; weight 2.55%) and Sun Pharma (+1.38%; weight 2.02%).
