Instanex FII Index down 0.27%
At 12 noon, Indian markets turned negative, the Instanex FII Index was down 0.27% at 310.77 (+0.71% at 11 am) and the Instanex DII 15 portfolio was down 0.38% (+0.72% at 11 am). Sensex was down 0.48% (+0.66% at 11 am) and Nifty was down 0.44% (+0.67% at 11 am). The other Instanex Ownership Indices were also down – the Instanex Promoter 15 portfolio was down 0.83% (+0.16% at 11 am), the Instanex Top 15 portfolio was down 0.56% (+0.35% at 11 am) and the Instanex Retail 15 portfolio was down 0.44% (+0.48% at 11 am). Asian markets were mixed – Shanghai Composite was up 1.64% (+1.06% at 11 am), KOSPI closed 1.55% higher (+1.35% at 11 am) and Straits Times was down 0.24% (-0.02% at 10 am).
Of the 15 components of the Instanex FII Index ten were down and five were up. The main losers were ONGC (-1.04%; weight 4.32%), Reliance (-1.01%; weight 16.68%) and BHEL (-0.97%; weight 5.83%) and the main gainers were HUL (+1.83%; weight 3.00%) and Bharti Airtel (+0.84%; weight 11.51%).
