Don’t see GDP growth beyond 5% next year: CII

India is still the second fastest growing economy. Our growth may have slowed down in the second half to 5.3% and next year may be just above 5% but still we will be faster than any other economy other than China.Venu Srinivasan, incoming President, The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and MD, TVS Motor, believes that growth in India will be slow and doesn’t expect much beyond 5% even next year.
He said that CII is working with a three point agenda. According to him, there is a need to infuse enthusiasm and confidence in CII members and the public in general that the future is as not gloomy and that there is a silver lining.
