Asian markets end higher; Shanghai Composite up 1.74%

Asian markets ended higher. China’s Shanghai Composite surged 1.74% or 45.594 points at 2,663.766.
Japan’s Nikkei gained 0.45% or 41.88 points at 9,340.49.
South Korea’s Seoul Composite rose 0.78% or 11.01 points at 1,414.52.
Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted added 0.82% or 52.59 points at 6,485.14.
Singapore’s Straits Times was flat at 2,184.17.
However, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 0.55% or 94.02 points at 17,059.62.
