Asian markets end higher

Asian markets ended higher. China’s Shanghai Composite was up 0.28% or 7.516 points at 2,652.779.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 1.38% or 232.21 points at 17,022.91.

Singapore’s Straits Times gained 1.55% or 33.14 points at 2,172.92.

Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted advanced 1.37% or 88.72 points at 6,577.81.

However, Japan’s Nikkei declined 2.44% or 226.33 points at 9,038.69.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite was down 0.36% or 5.05 points at 1,386.68.
